This is how you quickly find the name of a song that you have heard. Do you remember Shazam? It was an app that you opened when you heard a song you liked. Tap to listen and the song would be revealed. Now, in case you didn’t know, Apple purchased Shazam in 2018 and the software is now integrated in iOS.
How to quickly find the name and album of a song using Control Center iPhone.
Use Control Centre on iPhone to quickly identify a song
You can add Shazam to Control Centre to create a shortcut. When you hear a song that you like, either on the radio, in a movie or TV series, or in a bar or club, you can open Control Centre and tap on the Shazam shortcut. The song will then be displayed at the top. There is no need to open additional apps. You only need one swipe and one tap.
Follow these steps to set it up:
- Open Settings for your iPhone
- Tap on Control Centre
- Scroll down for Music Recognition
- Tap the “+” button next to Music Recognition
- The three lines to your right will move Music Recognition to a prominent position in Control Centre.
- To identify a song, open Control Centre. Swipe down from the top on Face ID models and swipe up from the bottom on Touch ID models.
- Tap the Music Recognition icon. It is identified by the Shazam logo
- The song/tune name will be displayed at the top of your display.
