Different Face ID and Home button methods
You can leave your iPhone on for several days or even weeks. As long as you don’t let it go low on battery life, it is possible. It is best to turn it off to soft reset your iPhone. This will allow it to clear its cache, reset its memory, and erase any temporary glitches.
There is no “off” button on iPhones, so you need to know the exact combination of buttons to turn it off. The method will vary depending on whether you have Face ID enabled.
It’s easy to turn your iPhone off, no matter what model you have. Here’s how.

You can’t just hold the power button on newer Apple phones, such as the iPhone 13 or 11; it is more likely that Siri will be summoned if the voice assistant has activated.
Instead, hold down the power button (right-hand side of iPhone) and the volume button (left hand side of iPhone) simultaneously for a few seconds. Your phone will then vibrate, and the menu shown above will appear.
To turn off your iPhone, swipe your finger on the slider “Slide to Power Off”. It’s easy!
You can also use the Settings app to turn off your iPhone if you forget this combination. Scroll down to Shut Down in Settings > General. Select that option, and then swipe right to turn your phone off.
