Apple has dropped older models such as the iPhone XR and a storage variant of its iPhone SE after the iPhone 13 unveil. Apple has slightly changed its lineup, limiting it to the 64GB and 128GB models.
Are you desperate to grab the iPhone SE in a variant with 256GB storage? Although you can’t buy the iPhone SE directly from Apple, we have seen deals in the UK at the time of writing that still offer the model through a range of retailers and networks.
You may have to act fast if you need a 256GB model. Retailers may be out of stock and Apple won’t replenish it in the future.
Apple’s move could indicate that the iPhone SE 3 is in development and that the company is ending production.
Although we don’t know the exact sales figures of the iPhone SE, considering it is Apple’s most affordable handset, we expect the 256GB model with the lowest interest to be the most popular since it costs more.
It would be sensible for Apple to begin with the 256GB model, even if it is slowly dropping the iPhone SE.
Will the iPhone SE be available in 2022?
Although we don’t know the exact date, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, has stated that he believes Apple would introduce the iPhone SE 3rd iteration in the first half of 2022.
The iPhone SE, which was launched in April 2020, may indicate that Apple will continue to follow a similar pattern, introducing a new model two years later.
Why doesn’t Apple introduce a new iPhone SE each year? Apple often uses parts and technology from older iPhone models for its iPhone SE models.
The original iPhone SE had the same design as iPhone 5S, while the current iPhone SE is built on the iPhone 8 design. Apple could be considering using iPhone 11 parts in its next handset.
