Corning continues to develop smartphone screen protection, working closely with both Samsung and Apple, ever since Gorilla Glass was created. Corning’s latest update, Gorilla Glass Victus, was released in 2020. It is available on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Series as well as the Galaxy Note Ultra. It isn’t easy to compare it with Ceramic Shield.
Their structure is the main difference. Victus uses a stronger aluminosililicate glass instead of the traditional glass-ceramic mixture used for Ceramic Shield. Because of its strength, scratch resistance and low weight, this compound is ideal for protecting smartphones.
