What are the differences among these new models? We’ve put together the specifications for both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Mini to help you decide which model is right for you.

What about the iPhone 13 models

  • Similar square design
  • OLED displays
  • Front camera
  • A15 chip
  • iOS 15 software
  • 5G

Many similarities exist between the iPhone 13 models. All models share a flat edge design, despite having different finishes and camera lenses at their rear.

The Pro models are more expensive, but the standard models still have excellent finishes. We prefer to use aerospace-grade aluminium frames over surgical-grade stainless. They all run on the same A15 chip with next-generation 16 core Neural engine. However, they all use iOS15 Software. All of them are compatible.

They all have OLED display panels with Tru Tone, Haptic Touch, and all come with front-facing cameras.

All four models have the Face ID, which is different from the iPhone SE model that uses Touch ID.

What’s the difference between iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 models?

The new iPhones have some commonalities, but there are many differences.

Each of the new iPhones comes with a unique physical dimension. The iPhone 13 Mini is lightweight and the smallest, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max Max Max is heavy.

The dimensions of the iPhone 13 Pro, as well as the standard iPhone 13, are identical, though the Pro is slightly larger. They fall in the middle of this size range. They all have the same thickness.

At 5.4 inches, the iPhone 13 mini’s display measures in at the smallest. It’s still not too small, as we discovered last year in our iPhone12 min review. It is a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels with 476ppi. It is the sharpest model of all four.

Display refresh

OLED panel panels are available on the iPhone 13 models. The refresh rates for each model vary. The iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 both have a 60Hz refresh speed.

ProMotion refresh rates vary from 10Hz to 120Hz for the iPhone 13 Pro Max or iPhone 13 Pro Max. This separate feature explains the refresh rates and how they affect your device.

Cameras

The rear camera setup is what makes the iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 mini models different.

iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 all have dual rear cameras. It includes a 12-megapixel main camera as well as an ultra-wide angle 12-megapixel camera that has an aperture of f/2.4.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 Pro Max each have a triple rear camera. Each camera has a 12-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and 12-megapixel Telephoto camera with an aperture of f/2.8. The telephoto lens features a 3x optical zoom.

All four models have sensor-shift stability, which makes them more suitable for low light photography. All models include Smart HDR 4 for photos. You also have Portrait Mode with advanced depth control, bokeh, Night Mode and Deep Fusion. There are many styles to choose from, as well as cinematic videos.

Pro models include an LIDAR reader to enhance Augmented Reality and better understand the scene. A Night mode portrait and a macro mode are also available. ProRES, a feature that records 4K video at 30fps will be included in the Pro models later this year.

Each model comes with a 12-megapixel front camera, which can be used in night mode, deep Fusion and other photographic styles.

Battery capacity

There are different battery capacities for the iPhone 13 models. The iPhone 13 mini has a smaller battery capacity, while the iPhone 13 Pro Max Max Max Max has the largest. It is not surprising, considering their small sizes.

Storage options

iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 available in 128GB and 256GB storage options.

iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max come in 128GB or 256GB storage options.

GPU

The A15 chip powers all four iPhone 13 models. It is the next-generation 16 core Neural engine. The iPhone 13 Pro models feature a faster GPU with five cores.

Colours

The iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 come in five colours: Midnight/Blue/Blue, Starlight, Starlight, Pink, Product, (RED), and Pink.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 Pro Max come in four colours: Silver Graphite Silver Sierra Blue, and Gold.
