Google’s next major update to its smartphone operating system, Android 12, is currently in the final stages of public beta and will likely launch on 4th October.
Mishaal Rahman (XDA Editor-in-Chief) claims that Google plans to release the AOSP to manufacturers on the same day, suggesting that it will be available to the general public at that time.
Android 12 may be released as a stable update on 4th October. This is when Google intends to make available to AOSP. A 3PL also suggested this tentative release date.

Google’s new Android version is undoubtedly the most significant update to Android in many years. It features an entirely different interface, with more customisation options and a unique design language called “Material You”.
The new software includes widgets that customise your colours based on wallpaper selection. There is also a new privacy dashboard and an all-new single-hand mode.
The final public software was expected to drop around 30th September, and it will be available on the Pixel 6 series of phones when it arrives.
