The new Google Pixel is set to be the first device to get the new Android OS.

Google hinted that Android 12 may be available on Google Pixel phones by October 4. Android 12’s final beta version was released on Pixel smartphones last week.

This promo prefaces the Google Pixel 6 launch, which is a significant announcement from Google. Although neither has yet confirmed their release dates, we were able to see a promo for the Google Pixel 6.

According to XDA Developers, Android 10, 11 and 12 will no more be approved for software builds. Android 12 may be available on Pixel devices starting October 4 and then on other devices later.

According to Mishaal Rahman of XDA, Google will publish (still not confirmed) the source code for Android 12 on Android Open Source Project Gerrit (AOSP Gerrit), which contains the information and source codes required to create the Android 12 operating system.

Custom variants of Android OS.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro could be released on or after October 4. It would be remiss for Google to launch its flagship devices before Android 12 is ready to be installed on them. Last summer, Google used a similar timeline, with the first stable version of Android 11 being available on Pixel phones first.

Google is due to unveil one of the most significant Android design changes in a while. There are many new features to look forward to before it goes to our top-rated phones.
