There is no way to prevent the ads from popping up. There are, however, a few ways to manage the situation and decrease the number of pop-ups. We’ll show you how to identify and remove third-party apps that may be causing the problem. Please note that this process can vary depending on your model and age.
Find apps that provide adverts to disable ads from your Samsung phone.
Third-party apps on your phone must be running to allow ads to appear. Although it is impossible to pinpoint the exact apps that cause ads to appear on Samsung phones, it is worth looking at the apps you have been using in recent times. This will allow you to eliminate apps you don’t use often and reduce the number of ads that are appearing on your Samsung smartphone.
- Launch the Google Play Store app from the main menu.
- Next, tap the three lines that should appear in the upper left corner.
- To proceed, select “My apps and games” to continue.(Image credit: Samsung)
- Next, click on the Installed tab.
- Now you should see a list listing all of your installed apps. Tap on the Alphabetical sorting button as shown below.
- Next, click on the Last Used option. Now you should be able to see the recently active apps and delete them if necessary.
How do you disable pop-up ads from Google Chrome?
- After you have launched Google Chrome, find and select the three-dotted icon in the upper left corner of your screen.
- To proceed, tap the Settings option in the drop-down menu.

- Tap on “Pop-ups & redirects” to proceed.
- Make sure you toggle the option off. As shown in the image, it should appear grey.

- This option should be turned off. The icon should change to grey, as in the previous step.
How do you block ads on Samsung Internet
- Launch the Samsung Internet App.
- Next, tap the three lines that should appear in the lower-left corner of the screen.

- Scroll down to the “Sites & Downloads” option.
- Next, find the “Block Pop-ups” option. Make sure it is toggled on.
- Go back to the Samsung Internet menu, and choose Ad blocking.
- Now you can choose and download any of these ad-blocking programs that may appear on your screen.
How do you turn off ads using Samsung Global Goals?
Samsung Global Goals is a feature that you have enabled on your Galaxy smartphone. You may have noticed ads appearing on your lock screen when your phone is charging. This could be because the feature is enabled while your device is charging.
To disable this setting, you will need to go to the Samsung Global Goals App > select Settings > toggle off Global Goals while charging.
