Apple fans could choose from four new phones in November:
- the iPhone 12
- iPhone 12 Mini,
- iPhone 12 Pro and
- iPhone 12 Pro Max
Today we’ll compare iPhone 12 Pro and the standard iPhone 12 to see if extra tech is worth its high price.
Although they appear identical, it’s hard to believe that they are. But the 12 Pro weighs in at 6.7 ounces and is slightly heavier than the 12’s 5,8 ounces. Additionally, there are differences in the build of the 12 Pro compared to the 12 Pro.
Don’t be fooled by their shiny exterior. Apple’s new Ceramic Shield coating is said to be four times more likely to protect your iPhone from a drop than other iPhones. They are the strongest phones made by the California tech giant.
The phones have magnets on their backs, which allow for accessories like chargers or phone cases to be attached. Both phones support 5G and are equipped with Apple’s latest processor A14 Bionic.
iPhone 12 vs iPhone Pro design
For some, the iPhone 12 Pro’s and 12 Pro’s designs might seem a bit outdated. Apple’s iconic smooth sides are no more. The new iPhone 12 Pro has sharpened the edges and is now comparable to the iPhone 5. We love the new design. The iPhone 4 and 5 were beautiful phones by 2020 standards.
The iPhone 12 can be purchased in black, white and (PRODUCT RED), green, blue, and red. The iPhone 12 Pro can be ordered in silver, graphite or gold as well.
Verdict: This is a tie.

As you would expect, both phones come with impressive camera functions, including Nigh Mode. The 12 Pro, however, has an extra lens and LiDAR scan for enhanced Night Mode portraits, faster autofocus in low lighting, and improved AR.
Verdict: iPhone 12 pro is best here
