Group, the global Cat(r), phone licensee, announced today the availability of the Cat S42H+ smartphone and the Cat B40 4G feature phones. Both have advanced antimicrobial product protection.

The Cat S42 H+ (Hygiene Plus Innovation), has enhanced antimicrobial product protection. This makes it the first phone that is permanently and fully antibacterial. To fight bacteria, every exterior component of the military-grade body was mixed with an antimicrobial silver technology additive called Biomaster(r). The active antimicrobial agent has been tested to international ISO 22196 standards and is shown to prevent bacteria cells from reproducing by more than 80% in 15 minutes and 99.9% in 24 hours.
It is waterproof certified to IP68/IP69, just like all Cat phones. It can be submerged in warm soapy waters and washed several times. This combination of innovations is a breakthrough in phone hygiene design.
The Cat B40 professional 4G feature phone offers reliable voice and text connections even under challenging environments. All external components are protected by IP68 and IP69 Ingress Protection, Hygiene Plus Innovation. The silver-ion-based antimicrobial additive (ISO22196) has been added to all parts.
