There are many Android phones on the market. We’ve reviewed the top-rated ones and ranked them, including the Asus ZenFone 8.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra – Best Android phone
  • Phenomenal display
  • Cons: Bulky | Expensive
  • The Best Prices Available Today

Samsung finally made a comeback after 2020’s disappointing Galaxy S20 Ultra. The follow-up delivers nearly everything you would want in an Android flagship.

With a 108Mp main camera and two ultrawide lenses at different zoom levels, the camera is probably the best on any phone.

2. Oppo Find Pro X3 Pro – Best display

  • Pros: Best screen around | Versatile camera | Unique design
  • Cons: No periscope zoom | Expensive
  • The Best Prices Available Today

The Oppo Find X3 Pro phone is a remarkable phone. Oppo’s 6.7in 10bit 120Hz QHD+ display is among the most impressive in the market. It also comes with 65W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. A 4500mAh battery and top-of-the-line camera boasting 50Mp sensors for both main and ultrawide lenses.

The periscopic zoom lens is not available here. Telephoto only offers a 2x zoom. Oppo has a microlens camera that can take microscopic super-closeups. The phone’s design isn’t the only anomaly. It also features a seamless sloped camera module that’s integrated into the body.

3. Xiaomi Mi 11 – Best value flagship

  • Pros: Fast wired & wireless charging | Strong specs | Great value
  • Cons: No zoom camera | Big | MIUI software
  • The Best Prices Available Today

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset is what makes the Xiaomi Mi 11 a solid performer. It comes with plenty of storage and 8GB RAM.

Add to that a WQHD+ 120Hz MOLED display (quad-curved no less), 108Mp rear cam, 55W fast-charging, paired with 50W wireless charge, and the Mi 11 is unbeatable for specs.

There are some minor drawbacks: you won’t be able to get an IP rating and there is no telephoto lens. Also, Xiaomi’s MIUI software has still room for improvement. If pure performance is what your goal is, then you should look elsewhere.

4. Samsung Galaxy S21 – Best all-rounder

  • Pros: Strong camera | Beautiful design | Compact size
  • Worse value than rivals
  • The Best Prices Available Today

The S21 is not a “poor man’s S21 Ultra” – Samsung’s regular flagship has been used to achieve the same remarkable balance act as last year’s Galaxy S20, and it has also updated the hardware.

5. OnePlus Nord 2 – Best mid-range

  • Glass body
  • No wireless charging
  • The Best Prices Available Today

OnePlus’s second Nord phone is a worthy successor, powered by a customized version of MediaTek’s 5G-capable Dimensity 1200 chipet.

The Nord 2 has a 90Hz AMOLED screen, a 50Mp primary camera and 65W fast charging.

Software-wise, OxygenOS’ user experience is a highlight. It brings responsive interactivity to the table and a clean interface that allows for the phone to have a premium, premium feel.

OnePlus recently introduced the NordCE 5G. This takes many of the great specs and wraps them in a plastic case – with a few key downgrades. The Nord 2 is our favorite, but the CE 5G may be worth a closer look if you have a smaller budget.

6. Realme GT – Best flagship killer

  • Mid-range price
  • Basic camera
  • The Best Prices Available Today

The Realme GT is a great phone for the money.

The Snapdragon 888 chipset comes with the fastest RAM, storage and charging. It also features a 120Hz AMOLED display and 65W wired charging.

This is not a flagship model, so there are some omissions. There is no wireless charging or waterproofing, and the main camera is solid, but there is only a basic ultrawide, and no telephoto.

Performance is what you want, and this value is unbeatable. It’s also wrapped in a stunning racing-striped yellow vegan leather body.

7. Google Pixel 5 – The best software support

  • Google’s best software
  • Bland design
  •  The Best Prices Available Today

Google’s 5G flagship is a departure from its predecessors. It showcases Android 11 to its best, but also sheds the experimental features of older generations and opts for more conservative hardware.

The camera’s sleek design and user experience are supported with a superb, and now more feature-rich, set of cameras. It also has an extremely compact design and a battery life that is actually usable.

8. Xiaomi Redmi note 10 Pro – Best price

  • Pros: Exceptional value | 108Mp camera | 120Hz display
  • MIUI software
  •
  • The Best Prices Available Today

Redmi Note 10 Pro is a great phone at a reasonable price. Xiaomi offers exceptional value.

The screen is stunning and features AMOLED technology with a 120Hz refresh rate. There are also excellent cameras. The headline is a whopping 108Mp, supported by a reasonably wide and decent telemacro.

The core specs are good, relying on the Snapdragon 732G for smooth performance. The Redmi Note 10 Pro does not support 5G, which could be a problem.

  • Pros: Beautiful design & finish | Slim & light | Gimbal camera
  • Cons: Older processor | No wireless charging
  •  The Best Prices Available Today

9. Vivo X60 Pro – Best design

Vivo X60 Pro is only phone from the X60 Series that was launched in the UK and Europe. However, it’s likely to be the Goldilocks of all the phones.

The design and the camera are its two greatest strengths. It’s 7.6mm thick and weighs 177g, making it one of the lightest and thinnest smartphones on the market. However, it still has a 6.56in display (120Hz MOLED). You can choose from Shimmer Blue (pictured), or a more subtle black.

The main camera, 48Mp, F/1.5 gimbal stabilised main camera, is among the best phones, especially for video and low light. The set also includes a 13Mp wide-angle lens and 2x zoom lens. They are more than capable of handling their own.

10 Asus ZenFone 8 – Best compact Android

  • Snapdragon 888
  • Cons: Plain design | Weak battery life
  • The Best Prices Available Today

The Asus ZenFone 8 flagship phone is priced as a mid-range model, just like the Realme GT.

The flagship features include a Snapdragon 888 chipset and fast RAM. There’s even an IP68 water resistance rating. Unfortunately, there is no wireless charging.

The phone is also compact and lightweight, measuring just 5.9in in display and weighing only 169g. Unfortunately, this comes with a compromise in battery life.
