All new features in iOS 14.7 explained
Take a look at iOS 14.7’s main features…
MagSafe Battery Pack
Apple has recently introduced the MagSafe Battery Pack, compatible with the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
iOS 14.7 updates add support for MagSafe Battery Packs so that all iPhone models can use them. You can now view the MagSafe Battery Pack’s charge level through the Home Screen Battery widget and the Today View on iPhone.
Apple Card
Apple Card Family Sharing was announced by Apple in April. The iOS 14.6 update added support for this feature. iOS 14.7 updates add support for merging two Apple Card accounts. Two Apple Card holders can now combine their accounts to create a single Apple Card account. The owners will have a greater credit limit and can also share the lower APR.
Open the Wallet app to start the account merging process.
HomePod
iOS 14.7 now offers a HomePod Timer Management option. This feature allows you to manage timers on your HomePod via the Home app.
Air Quality
Apple has added Air Quality information to the Weather and Maps apps for Canada, France and Italy. It also includes South Korea, Spain, South Korea and South Korea.
Podcasts
Users can now see all or just the most recent podcasts in the Podcasts app.
What is it?
The iOS 14.7 update contains several bug fixes. These are Apple’s release comments:
- A problem that could have caused Dolby Atmos or Apple Music lossless audio playback not to start has been resolved.
- Restored the battery service message that disappeared after a reboot of some iPhone 11 models.
- Braille displays were displaying incorrect information while composing Mail messages. This bug has been corrected.
- Apple Music has fixed a bug that could have caused the share playlist option to disappear in Apple Music.
